A few of our favourite things…

Now a welcome annual event in the Blue Mountains cultural calender, this year’s Sculpture at Scenic World is truly delightful. The beauty and challenges of exhibiting in the landscape of the Jurassic rainforest has clearly inspired  local and international artists alike to produce profound and engaging works. Of the 31 sculptures in this years exhibition, Cloudscape’s favourites included Kay Andonopoulos’ delicately installed reference to Australia’s iconic Hills Hoist, David Sumalis’ reverberant sound installation and a giant, earthenware ‘fallen moth’ by this year’s winner of the Scenic World Acquistive Award – Jacqueline Spedding.
